ST. JOHN’S, Antigua  – The last day of Antigua and Barbuda’s Carnival was cut short last night after a reveller was crushed to death by a music truck. The details about how 25-year-old Nikki Phillip ended up under the truck are sketchy. Reports indicate that after the accident which occurred shortly after 9 p.m., a wrecker had to lift the truck to get Phillip’s body out. She had flown in from New York for the Carnival. As a result of her tragic death, the last lap celebrations were called off. Up until then, police had reported there had been no serious incidents.
