Lady Saw Receives Gospel Nomination

Minister Marion Hall, formerly known as Lady Saw, has received her first nomination for a gospel award as she has been named as one of five persons up for the International Reggae and World Music Award (IRAWMA) in the category Best Gospel Song for 2016.

Hall received the nomination for her song Jesus in the End and is up against fellow artistes Kevin Downswell, Lieutenant Stitchie and Papa San. A humble Hall told THE STAR that she is happy about the nomination, but is focused on winning souls for the Kingdom of God and not awards.

“I wasn’t aware of it (the nomination) because I haven’t been interested in awards for years now, even before I got saved, but I appreciate the nomination,” she said. “I’m not concerned about that. I’m concerned about winning souls for Christ. Win, lose or draw, once it’s Kingdom business, I’m happy.”

Hall recently released her debut gospel album, When God Speaks, a compilation she revealed is doing well. “VPAL distributed the album and it’s doing good. Everybody loves it and it’s just a blessing,” she said. Hall also recently released the music video for one of the singles from the album called Room In My House. “I’m just loving life and loving the fact that I can spend time with the Lord. I feel free and happy within. I’m happy with Him.”
