Machel Montano’s Bazodee Hits Theaters

Our beloved King of Soca music, Machel Montano, lent his creativity to the cinema world with the new movie Bazodee and we love it. The Bazodee movie captures the vibrant Trinidadian culture, highlighting carnival tradition while exposing how factors of race, culture, and economic status continue to segregate our people.

When faced with a decision to choose love or wealth, leading lady Natalie Perera is an a state of bazodee, or confusion.

Does she marry the man that will help restre her family’s wealth or does she follow her heart and opt for the arms of the meager pocketed Lee played by Machel Montano?

The blended love story is represented in the soundtrack, as it merges the likes of Soca, Dancehall,Afro beats, and Bollywood sounds.

“Montano is wonderful as Lee, giving him the romantic demeanor which one would expect should sweep a woman off her feet.” – One Film Fan

This film is now playing in select theaters across the country.
