The icon was forced to cancel tours and other overseas appearances over the last seven years. He was also honored at THE STAR awards in 2015 and took the time to embark on several community initiatives locally, paying special attention to the inner-city.
There are already talks that the Dry Cry singer may make his first appearance at the upcoming Reggae on the River festival to be held between August 4-7 in California, USA.
Fellow dancehall artiste Aidonia recently had his US visa reinstated, which leaves Popcaan, Bounty Killer, Busy Signal, Kalado, Jah Cure, Mr Lex, Tommy Lee Sparta, and Beenie Man as recording artistes without US visas.
Sizzla was nominated for a Grammy award in 2013 and is often praised for his lengthy body of work, which includes the release of more than 70 albums. The reggae artiste has also been featured on projects from international acts like 50 Cent, Jah Rule, Jay Z, and Foxy Brown.
