Jamaican who swallowed more than 90 ganja pellets nabbed before reaching Barbados

KINGSTON, Jamaica  – A man who allegedly swallowed 92 marijuana pellets before trying to board a plane to Barbados is due to appear in court in Jamaica today.

Oniel Spencer, 26, was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport in Jamaica’s capital, Kingston last week.

According to police, he attempted to board a flight destined for Barbados on Tuesday when some abnormalities were detected during routine screening.

Spencer was interviewed and taken into custody after it was discovered that he had swallowed the pellets.

The young man was taken to hospital where he was examined and the pellets removed from his stomach.

Spencer will answer to charges of possession of, dealing in and attempting to export ganja.
