Drake drops Popcaan from new version of “Controlla” on ‘VIEWS’ album

Drake’s new album is here and it doesn’t matter if you’re a Drake fan yourself; you’re going to be hearing about VIEWS today.

While fans across the globe digest and dissect the 20-track project, one aspect of VIEWS that immediately caught everyone’s

attention was the absence of Popcaan from “Controlla”. Instead, Popcaan’s verse has been replaced with a sample of

Beanie Man’s “Tear Off Mi Garment.” While VIEWS isn’t completely free from Popcaan as he appears on the track “Too Good,” many fans of the leaked version were left in dismay by the unexpected change.
