Murder accused among six escapees from Psychiatric Hospital in Trinidad

A 31-year-old prisoner on charges of murder and possession of arms and ammunition is on the run from police after he escaped from the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital yesterday morning.
Sheldon Henry, also known as Sheldon Thomas, was among six inmates who escaped from the Forensic Ward of the hospital sometime between midnight and 1.50 a.m. yesterday.
The five other inmates — Kyron Lewis, Maikie Hendrickson, 20, Gabriel Solomon, 26, Michael Thomas, 26, and Andre Harvey — were recaptured within hours of their escape.
According to police reports, about 1.50 a.m yesterday officials at the hospital were making routine rounds when they observed that the six men were missing.
Further checks quickly revealed that a burglar-proofing bar in the Forensic Ward had been cut.
It is believed that the men then escaped by exiting through the Nursing Station of the hospital.
